I am back with every other Divi 5 expansion change. I am happy to report that we have completed all the planned choices for unlocking the Public Alpha. Before we have this initial type in your hands, the whole step is to do another round of testing and bug fixing. We will fix the issues and unlock the Public Alpha with my next change.
It will be a alphaand first of all there will undoubtedly be a lot of bugs, but alternatively we want to reduce the noise as much as possible so that we can effectively test the alpha without running into problems at every turn.

What we have achieved
This month we’ve done a lot of work, filling in the missing choices needed to make Public Alpha widely usable. We’ve completed essential front-end rendering pieces like Dynamic Assets and Essential CSS. In Divi 5, we’ve taken Dynamic Assets a step further by using further abstraction of each module’s JavaScript, significantly reducing the size of the web page and the volume of usability-blocking scripts that negatively impact PageSpeed scores.
We finalized the Theme Builder, introducing the new Visual Builder interface. We completed the Responsive Content theme, allowing you to transform different content themes at different breakpoints. We added Visual Builder history and undo/redo capabilities. We completed the Divi 5 Readiness machine and site-wide conversion mechanism to migrate your Divi 4 shortcodes to the new Divi 5 structure. We also ran Divi’s Dynamic Content machine across its entire suite of modules.
We also started our new bug fix effort and fixed 65 of them.
What’s left to finish?
At this stage, Divi 5 hosts almost all of the most essential choices from Divi 4. The remaining choices are at most regularly related to UI and UX and are a couple of the lesser used choices in Divi. These include To seek out & Change, Prolong Sorts, Rapid Actions, Lower up Trying out and a few others.
We will be filling out all the choices throughout the Public Alpha, alternatively you can test and use Divi 5 in the meantime. I will talk more about this in my next change when the Public Alpha is available.
