I used several webcams, at most often for artistic work meetings and to meet family. Very often they manage to complete the method, on the other hand finding a person who really stands out is atypical. That’s when I got my hands on the EMEET SmartCam S800-or as they identify it, a “SmartCam”.

I was given a unit to test, and while this is an analysis, I assure you that it is in line with my honest experience. It’s a 4K webcam with some impressive AI options, and here’s what I thought after trying it.

What is EMEET SmartCam S800?

Before we get into the details, it’s worth understanding a little about the company behind this SmartCam. EMEETbased in Shenzhen, China, produces some technology products such as headsets, conference cameras, speakerphones and webcams. The type I need to try is the S800one of their newest SmartCams.

So with those ideas overall, let’s take a deeper look at what this webcam brings to the table.

My first shot

Right from the start, I was surprised to use how compact it is EMEET SmartCam S800 the packaging was. It was delivered right here, in a neat box measuring 11.5 x 13 x 7.5 cm, small, but it contained all the prerequisites.

There wasn’t much fuss inside. The sector contained exactly what you would expect: the webcam, a USB to AC cable, and individual information. Beautiful, minimal, but had everything needed to raise and manage the camera.

The whole tool seems well built, with a smart and compact design. It’s sturdy without being too heavy. The camera has a barrel shape, capable of rotating about 45 degrees left and right, and is mounted on a Z-shaped bracket, allowing it to simply sit on top of an app or laptop.

The EMEETLINK app is the most important

To have right access to all the difficult camera choices, you need to install the EMEETLINK app. This device provides alternatives to monitor brightness, difference, exposure and white balance using sliders.

Additional settings include anti-flicker controls (50Hz/60Hz) and customizable filters for more than a few visual effects. The app is suitable for all home windows and Mac working methods.

It has two microphones…

One of the nicest surprises of the EMEET SmartCam S800 are the two integrated omnidirectional microphones. They have a shooting range of up to 10 feet and perform a really better procedure for taking photos with clear and loud audio, especially with noise support turned on.

.. And a Sony 1/2&Top; Sensor

One of the crucial issues that stands out about the EMEET SmartCam S800 is its Sony 1/2&Top; sensor. It’s just a little more than you should look for in most webcams, which means it could definitely be more delicate.

The main video quality is noticeably higher, especially in dim or dimly lit rooms, no more overly grainy and washed out images during night calls. With an F/1.8 aperture and 4.71mm focal length, details in my video are crisp and clear. It’s the little touches that improve the overall video experience.

HDR for balanced lighting

Another really useful service is HDR (Top Dynamic Range) support. It serves to balance the lighting, so whether or not I’m sitting in a bright room or a darker corner, the camera adjusts to ensure my image is well-lit and not overexposed.

Having this balance helps a lot in maintaining excellent and consistent image quality, without reference to the environment.

The privacy cover is great

EMEET SmartCam S800 has a privacy puff built into the top of its barrel-shaped design. This is a simple swivel puff that can be closed to block the lens when the camera is not in use. I kind of like this feature – it’s reassuring to know that there’s an extra layer of protection for people who care about privacy, especially with all the talk about hacking these days. It provides peace of ideas.

USB 3.0 is a necessity

When I prepare for the first time the EMEET SmartCam S800I briefly realized that it works best with a USB 3.0 connection. The camera requires 700 mA, which USB 3.0 completely handles with its 900 mA output, compared to USB 2.0.

To avoid problems, I always connect it directly to a USB 3.0 port or use a powered hub when required.

What’s great about S800?

  • Compact and great looking, with a powerful hinge that holds your computer screen securely.
  • The built-in microphones pick up clear sound, especially with noise support.
  • The excellent 4K image quality is crisp, with low noise compared to other webcams.
  • Easy customization for brightness and difference via the app.
  • It sits securely over your application or can simply be mounted on a tripod.
  • The app provides some useful choices for adjusting your camera.
  • Privacy is a breeze with the built-in duvet that brings peace of mind.

Space for construction

  • An on/off button might be more handy than unplugging the USB.
  • A small LED indicator to show when the camera is charged might be useful.
  • A mute button on the tool is generally a nice touch.
  • It is already compact, on the other hand a smaller size would make it even superior.

Price breakdown

The EMEET SmartCam S800 is priced around $150 on Amazon. They also offer many alternatives bundled just as properly.
