The LG DualUp Observe stands out with its unique 16:18 aspect ratio, offering a relatively square look that sets it apart from other gadgets. This design allows for the vertical stacking of two presentations, something we’ll discuss later in this review.

Using Follow
1. As an additional entertainment for your PC
LG DualUp Follow can be used as an additional screen on your PC or computer, much like any other display device.
By connecting two cables, whether HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB Type-C, you can set up a dual-monitor setup, as shown in the image below:
2. Connecting two PCs
Even better, you can connect two separate laptops to the display, regardless of their operating systems.
This setup replicates the experience of using two 21.5-inch displays (with a 16:9 aspect ratio) stacked vertically, all on the same computer screen.
To switch from a single-screen view to a dual-screen view, follow these steps:
- Locate the joystick button under the LG branding on the display unit.
- Use the joystick button to switch to PBP (symbol by using symbol) mode.
- Make a full-screen selection or a two-screen layout.
2. Connecting 3 PCs
Additionally, LG DualUp Follow lets you view drives and graphics on three different devices simultaneously, which is exactly how I set mine up, as pictured below.
In my case, I use it with my iMac as my primary tool, while also keeping track of my MacBook and Mac Mini. It’s great because I can switch between them whenever I need to, without having to deal with other keyboards or mice, and without leaving my primary setup.
Here’s how I set up my iMac as my primary work machine, with the MacBook and Mac Mini as secondary drives:
- Make sure all units are connected to the same neighborhood: First, make sure your iMac, MacBook, and Mac Mini are all connected to the same Wi-Fi network or local area network.
- Open Show Sharing on your iMac: On your iMac, open Seekerthen go to “Group” stage. From there, use the Show Percentage option to open home windows for each Mac Mini and MacBook.
- Prepare Show Home Window Percentage: Using macOS SpacesChange each Show Percentage window (one for the Mac Mini and one for the MacBook) to its own separate, non-public home. This helps keep your workspace organized and accessible.
Who is it for?
The LG DualUp Follow’s 16:18 aspect ratio won’t be the best choice for gaming unless you’re comfortable playing games in windowed mode or using PBP (Screen-to-Screen) mode to connect a console and a computer.
On the other hand, creative professionals, programmers, and remote workers will look for great value in its ability to vertically stack two 16:9 home windows or display an entire vertical computer screen, especially useful for coding or working with long paperwork.

That said, it’s not necessarily a go-to for gaming enthusiasts or those who need more typical widescreen entertainment, on the other hand for professionals like programmers, creatives or someone who likes a vertical setup, it’s a must-have. In my opinion, it’s been a game changer for organizing my workspace and the ease it brings has been worth every penny.
