Stacked and nested presets for Divi 5

In recent years, I’m excited to announce the release of stacked and nested presets for Divi 5.

This could be an incredibly difficult upgrade that makes Divi’s preset-based design tool simply the best. Don’t skip the video below, because if you’re a Divi shopper, this is a feature you’ll want to keep in mind!

You will now be able to stack some presets on any group or stage, and you will also be able to nest group presets within stage presets.

Divi presets are more versatile than ever

The presets are wonderful and allow you to create an organized design tool on your website that is easy to control. Once mastered, they are not perfect, they make designing web pages even more fun rather than boring, and they also increase development and maintenance times (particularly when combined with Divi 5’s design variables).

For example, as shown in the video below, I can create a default button preset for my website and all my buttons will inherit its basic attributes. I can also create selection presets and assign them to specific buttons.

Once I edit a preset, all the parts where that preset is used are updated at the same time as my entire website.

They work with many CSS classes, with the exception of Divi’s presets which are much more difficult than the class-based design strategies of various builders, which include less than perfect types but also structural output, right backend judgment, and scripting wisdom, meaning they might be able to do just about anything.

Stacked presets

Presets are now much more flexible. First, you’ll be able to stack some presets on any stage or group.

For example, as shown in the video below, my website alternates between dark and light sections. It’s very easy to create a preset gentle mode that turns my text colors to white, so I can briefly look at it whenever I’m working on a dark background.

I actually need to have the presets on hand that control the text and image alignment. There are 3 presets for positioning the image: on the most efficient type, to the left and to the right of my text. Presets actually make problems simple!

What if I wanted to use my left aligned preset on a perfect section of a dark section?

So far it is important to best use a preset in line with the phase. Now you will be able to stack these presets on top of each other and the stage will use them all. As shown in the video below, once I look at all the presets, my stage gets soft text from the dark mode preset and a left-aligned image from the left mode preset.

Nested presets

Unlike other developers, Divi’s preset tool has a unique advantage, as even presets can be created not perfect in phase but also in possibility.

For example, as shown in the video below, I can create a default value for the edge radius and apply it to anything. Since presets can also be stacked, I can also create a basic preset to control the border radius and stack additional presets on Perfect to control the border width and color.

With a single preset controlling the radius, there will currently only need to be one preset available to control the edge radius in all tiles.

Then again, here’s the real kicker: You will now be able to nest risk presets inside phase presets.

Going back to the phase presets I was working with previously, I could, for example, nest my creation text preset in all the lower phase presets I created for the blurb module.

Now, my setting text preset is automatically added when I use the dad or mom phase preset, and I still have the freedom to use that risk preset explicitly in phase phase.

It sounds really easy, it’s almost easy to omit, alternatively, as you wrap your head with the idea that that, you’ll understand how difficult Divi’s preset tool is.

Nested modules for Divi 5 are available these days and is undoubtedly one of the choices coming to Divi this year.

You will be able to watch as we build at some point an unrivaled release of Divi 5 and before, with updates every two weeks. Depending on your priorities, you can use Divi 5 now or wait until we add more choices, regardless of what works best for you.
