Great blood pressure monitor at a reasonable price
I recently found out I have hypertension and my doctor recommended that I get a blood pressure monitor. In the search for a good monitor, I read a New York Times/Wirecutter review which listed a Greater Goods monitor (model 0604) as their top pick and another Greater Goods monitor (model 0602) as the runner-up. As I only wanted a good, basic monitor without bells and whistles like Bluetooth connectivity, i decided on this model, 0662, and am very pleased with it.I had little experience with blood pressure monitors and found this very easy to use. It has everything one really needs in a monitor. It detects irregular heartbeats, averages out the last 3 readings, and its memory function stores 60 readings for one or two users. The multi-colored interface is easy to read and preferable compared to the dull, black-and-white interfaces found on many other monitors. It also comes with a carrying pouch, plus a two-year warranty which I was able to extend for an additional two years through an offer available at time of purchase. The heavy duty AAA batteries the unit came with lasted for a little less than a month. Replacing them with rechargeable 800 mAh AAA batteries gives enough power for ~2 months use.A couple of very minor nits:It would be better to have the LCD panel display the day, date and time on a single line instead of having to cycle the display through each one separately (but I realize Greater Goods was limited in what they could do in that they couldn’t fit everything on one line given the screen size along with the size of the LCDs used). The other would be to have the ability to scroll up and down through the readings instead of just being able to scroll in one direction (down). This would help when comparing multiple readings from different times and days.Aside from these two small matters, I’m more than satisfied with this monitor and highly recommend it.

    A well done BP monitor
A great little BP monitor that works well and quickly. There is nothing not to like about this unit. It is compact, colorful, accurate and easy to use. One thing I notice is that this unit reads your BP as it inflates vs others I have used that read the BP as it deflates – this makes it quicker in getting the readings. The design esthetics are easy to look at and logical to utilize. Recommended.

    User friendly and accurate
Even if you use this just to keep an eye on your numbers, it works fairly well. It helped us record and explain a recent health concern to our PCP.

    Reliable and accurate
I’m an emergency physician and I know about blood pressure. This works well, is quick, and seems accurate. It’s also easy to read. I didn’t get the Bluetooth. Didn’t really need it and didn’t want to make things more complicated.

Easy to use and accurate readings!
This is a great little tool to have around the home. As we get older, BP seems to play a more important role in our lives. This tool is quick and easy to use.

    Awesome Product
I’ve never had to use a blood pressure cuff before. This unit is so easy to use. Having the memory means I don’t need to write down the readings. I am so happy to have this unit. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a cuff.

  7. Amazon Customer

    REAL customer service!!!
I purchased the Health Guru blood pressure monitor in April. The monitor had all the features I wanted at a great price. The monitor arrived very quickly. It’s operation and programming were very simple and straight forward. I only used the monitor occasionally for a few months. After a visit to my doctor he had me bring in my monitor to check it against his office readings. After doing a thorough test he determined that my blood pressure monitor was not accurate and that I should purchase a new one. Being on social security and on a very tight budget this was not the news I wanted. I then remembered that the Health Gurus monitor had a two year warranty. I have seldom had a good experience when trying to get a company to service a warranty claim. So many companies make it so difficult and make you pay for a bunch of shipping and service charges. Not expecting much I found my purchase order number from Amazon and sent it to Nick at customer service. I explained that I really liked the monitor but that it was obviously not registering my blood pressure accurately and asked if there was any help he could give me. To my surprise I got an immediate response from Nick asking if I would like a new monitor sent!! I replied and he had a new monitor in the mail to me the next day. I had the monitor in a couple of days. At my next doctors appointment I took in my new monitor and it checked out to be very accurate. I have to send my doctor my blood pressure readings every week. At my appointment today he remarked that the readings I had sent him were very close to the readings from my Health Gurus monitor. Nick followed up after I had the new meter for awhile to see if it was working properly. Many companies preach good customer service but fall way short from actually providing it. As a person who has been a manager at a large department store for over 25 years it really pleases me to be able to tell someone they have done a good job. Nick at Health Gurus could not of possible done any more to make me a satisfied customer. Feel confident that Health Gurus will stand behind their products and will be there to help if you do have a problem. Chad S.
