Coming soon to a Netflix film in March 2021!

Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld, creators of the New York Times bestselling I Wish You More, a fun look at the day of the year that can rival Christmas for children’s affection: YES DAY!

No matter how stupid the request, there’s one day a year when kids always get a positive response: Can I have pizza for breakfast? YES! Can we have a food fight? YES! Can I stay up very late? YES!

The simple text paired with delightful illustrations will send children on a journey to their wildest wishes. With humor and appreciation for the little pleasures of life, Yes Day! captures the excitement of being a child.

Jennifer Garner uses Yes Day! as a source of inspiration for an annual magical day of all YES with your children. She was a little exhausted after 24 hours of pure YES in 2017, but she still praised Yes Day! as “a fantastic children’s book”.

    Such a fun book!
I use this in my classroom at the end of each school year! My kiddos love it!

My 2-1/2 year old loves this book
I thought that maybe our 2-1/2 year old wouldn’t quite understand it, but he LOVES it and completely got it. I would recommend this book for older kids, too…probably up to 1st or 2nd graders. He loves that the star of the book is a little boy, too, and I think he feels like it could be him in it. Great book; we also have other Amy Krouse Rosenthal books like Little Pea, Little Hoot, and Little Oink, which he also really likes to hear over and over and over and over…you get the idea. As a parent, though, I would only add that when you read this book out loud, you sort of have to fill in the holes for smaller kids because the boy in the book asks questions to which the answer was obviously “yes,” but there’s no text to that effect. So we used the pictures to help us “tell” the story and describe a bit more about what’s going on and now our son can tell it back to us.

    Adorable
Jennifer Garner just mentioned this book on the Rachael Ray show and I wanted to check it out cuz as a Mom with kids aged 36-11, I am constantly saying NO! This is an adorable little story which sounds so cute and a good idea but with 3 teenagers in my house I am afraid of the things they would ask for. This would be a good book for little ones!

  4. Nancy Funaro

    Simple read
Great pictures. Easy read for toddlers to catch on

  5. Yvonne

    Adorable
I love this adorable book! Great idea & sweet pictures! On time! For my Grandkids! Ages 2 1/2, 9 & 11! They all loved it!

  6. Masumi

    Cute!
I first tried the movie on Netflix. This was one of my watch list, and I enjoyed it. So I tried the book next. Although it was way shorter than I expected, I enjoyed to read. It’s a bit expensive compared to the length of the book. But it’s cute and I believe anybody can relate to the book.

    Funny ending!
I loved the ending! The calendar outlining all the other days that surround “yes day” is hilarious and probably accurate to how a child sees it! Great illustrations and wonderful theme.

  8. Hope

    So cute💕
I loved this. Was so short which made me sad but it was super cute and love the concept! 5 stars from me!

    excellent!

Disappointing book. I bought this for my 8-year-old as we really enjoyed the film, thinking she’d have something to read for at least a few hours. “Read” the book in 30 seconds. It’s got one line per page, far too simple. This is not for 4-8 year old readers at all. And very expensive considering we got about a minute’s enjoyment out of it…

My 6 year old LOVED this book and we had our own “yes day!” A very fun book that shows you what makes a child happy!!

  12. Angela

Cute idea and we’ll do it for our kids once a year but not much to the story book

I bought this based on reviews but really did not find this interesting at all. The art is nice but there is really no story to this book at all. The children were bored with it. As was I.
